Terms & Conditions 

INTRODUCTION

    1. We’ refers to DerDieDas and its contractors and ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to whoever is reading this or utilising our services.

    2. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions both for the use of this website and for any services provided to you by our company.

  1. 1ON1 CLASSES (Private Classes)

    1. All fees are to be paid before the class starts.

    2. Normal class: If you wish to cancel the class, you must notify your teacher by 6 pm on the previous day. Otherwise, you will be charged.

    3. In-home class: If you wish to cancel the class, you must notify your teacher by 6 pm on the previous day. Otherwise, you will be charged. The travel fee will not be charged.

    4. Skype: If you wish to cancel the class, you must notify your teacher by 6 pm on the previous day. Otherwise, you will be charged.

    5. Students may cancel scheduled classes by 6 pm the previous day with an appropriate communication. Cancellation notice should be done using one/some of the following methods: email, text message, phone call.

    6. When purchasing a block of 10 or 5 lessons, you commit to taking these lessons. Should you wish to cancel your future lessons a refund cannot be guaranteed. 

  2. MINI CLASSES (2 Students)

    1. All fees are to be paid before the class starts.

    2. If both students wish to cancel a class, you must notify us until 6 pm the previous day. Otherwise, you will be charged for the class. This also applies to in-home classes and Skype classes. 

    3. If only one student wants to cancel the class, the class cannot be cancelled.

    4. Students or teachers may cancel scheduled classes by 6 pm the previous day with an appropriate communication. Cancellation notice should be done using one/some of the following methods: email, text message, phone call.

    5. Make-up classes can be taken for missed Mini classes at the current rate for 1on1 private classes.

    6. When purchasing a block of 10 or 5 lessons, you commit to taking these lessons. Should you wish to cancel your future lessons a refund cannot be guaranteed. 

  3. GROUP COURSES (3 - 11 Students)

    1. To secure your seat, we require a non-refundable $48 deposit, which is part of your total course fee. 

    2. We require the remaining payment of your course fee one day before the course starts. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee your seat.

    3. We require a minimum of 4 students to run a course.

    4. Should we only have 3 students signed up for a class, we reserve the right to shorten the course duration by 1 week (accelerated 7-week course) or 2 weeks (normal 11-week course).

    5. Should you have to cancel your course within 3 days (72 hours) of the scheduled first class, we reserve the right to charge $48 as "administration fee". Your remaining course fee will be refunded.

    6. Should you have to drop out of your course on the same day of the first class, but before taking the class, we reserve the right to keep 25% of the course fee as “early drop out fee”.

    7. Should you have to drop out of your course after the first class, we reserve the right to keep 50% of the course fee as “late drop out fee”.

    8. The course fee is not refundable after the second class of the course.

    9. Catch-up classes can be taken for missed group classes at the current rate for 1on1 private classes.

    10. We reserve the right to move students within classes for educational reasons, provided the student is available on the alternative dates and times.

  4. FEES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE BETWEEN CLASSES AND OTHER STUDENTS.

  5. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISCONTINUE TUITION FOR ANY REASONABLE CAUSE.  

  6. GIFT VOUCHERS

    1. Please note that purchasing a voucher does not guarantee a booking and that waiting periods for a course may apply. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to check for available seats. 

    2. Vouchers cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded. Unused vouchers will not be refunded and cannot be transferred to another student.

    3. Bookings for courses are essential and are subject to space. 

    4. Vouchers are valid for 2 years from the date of the invoice. All classes must be attended prior to expiry. Unused classes cannot be refunded.

    5. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer (e.g. discounted group rates). 

    6. Only the person named on the voucher may attend classes booked using that voucher. 

    7. Vouchers are redeemable for German courses only.

  7.  REVISION/PRACTICE CLASSES

    1. Each class is its own unit and can be purchased separately. Purchasing "Unit 1" does not automatically sign you up for any other units.

    2. Once booked, the class fee is not refundable unless DerDieDas has to cancel the event.
